AudioMinds Demo Recording Contest!Welcome to the Audio Minds Demo Recording Contest! Begining August 2004, once a month we will be judging individual submissions for creativity, performance, Audio recording quality and just plain Pizzazz! You can submit a song, or whatever you were inspired to create to entertain our ears. You must be an AudioMinds.com forum member to enter, and forum registration is free.
The Rules:
All submitted works must be original compositions written by the person making the submission. Collaborations in the songwriting are acceptable as long as all songwriting parties are apprised of the contest publishing and are agreeable to the submission in writing. In all cases, one prize per month will be awarded. Whole bands are allowed on the recordings, or any other ensemble of musicians and accompanists provided that the person submitting the recording also plays at least one of the instruments on the recording, sings, or otherwise "appears" within the submitted recording. All submissions are to be no longer than 4 minutes in length and must be submitted in either mp3 or wma format, 16/44.1 (note: it does not matter what bitrate or sampling frequency you made the original recordings at, as long as they are converted to the mp3 or wma from the 16/44.1 conversion) Songs may be submitted during the first 2 weeks of each month. Look for a special competition thread inside the Music Review Forum. During the third week of each month, we will hold an open-forum vote on all song submissions. The Top 3 Finalists will be judged by the Audiominds Board of Judges. Which may include some or all members of the Audiominds Moderating Team along with an outside team of independently chosen judges who are presently active in the professional music and recording fields. Submissions will be judged on creative content, originality, performance and of course, technical merit standards. The Audiominds Demo Recording Contest winner will be featured in the following month's Audiominds Newsletter along with their approved Bio, and the winner will also receive an embroidered AudioMinds.com hat, shipped to them free of charge! You may enter the same song each month if you only have one, but only one song per month per indivdual. Once a winning song has been chosen, it cannot be resubmitted. Also once a decision is made and published, it is final. So dust off those old recordings you have in the can, give 'em a re-listen, and pick your best one to enter in the Audiominds Demo Recording Contest! Good Luck! |
